On why real world shopping sucks

My coffee grinder broke. Thanks. It was traumatic. Worse still, I’m forced to use a blade grinder I had laying around until I can get a replacement. I want a Baratza Maestro, a $99 conical burr grinder that’s received solid reviews on several coffee forums. Williams Sonoma is supposed to carry it. They said they had one when I called. They didn’t have one when I got there. They tried to upsell me to the Virtuoso, a $199 grinder. They tried to sell me on another brand of grinder, which I didn’t recognize. The salesman was a schmuck who obviously didn’t know jack about coffee. I ended up leaving the store with nothing. Total time wasted, 90 minutes. Mile driven, about 15. Cost of this excursion? Priceless. I’m going to order it online and make a note to just do that first next time something breaks that I actually care about.
